Dr. Kashif Anwar

Pediatrician

I was born in Karachi, Pakistan. Growing up with two brothers and two sisters I loved sports but my love of taking care of people brought me to field of medicine. After high school with great parental support I was able to enter one of the prestigious medical schools of Pakistan, Sind Medical College in Karachi. Desire to learn advancements in medicine introduced me to high level of medical care in USA. Soon I successfully completed my Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital/Elmhurst Hospital Center/NYU in New York from 2003-2006. Due to my hard working abilities and huge interest in learning clinical skills I was recognized as one of the best Residents by my colleagues and the Nursing staff.

Moving to the United States

After Residency, as a Foreign Medical Graduate, I was required to serve in a Medically Underserved and Healthcare Shortage Area. I moved to the State of Mississippi and started working as the Chair of Pediatrics at Trilakes Medical Center in city of Batesville. I worked very hard and made full use of my tough training at Mount Sinai in difficult working situations and conditions for 5 years. Within two years a local Newspaper did a survey and I was awarded “the Best Pediatrician of Panola County”.

When I moved to DFW in 2011 I soon started my own private practice that has grown immensely in last few years just because of the trust I was given by the parents and families of my young patient. I am a compassionate doctor who prioritize nothing more then providing excellent medical care to my patients and parental satisfaction.

I am married to my beautiful wife Roohi who stood beside me during this whole journey from Karachi to Dallas in last 13 years. We have 2 daughters Abia and Dua, a son Muhammad and our life revolves around them. I still love sports and continue my passion playing Tennis, Cricket and biking regularly. But the most, I enjoy being loved by my young patients and exceptionally trusted by their parents every day.
